The Hagelschaden-Zentrum GmbH Germany was founded by Gerhard Schimanski in 1994 to market and apply PDR for repairing car body damage. This repair method was enthusiasticlly accepted by individual car owners, and soon experts from car leasing, car rental and car insurance companies were convinced of the benefits of PDR.
Hagelschaden-Zentrum gained the trust of car insurers through its ability to quickly establish loss adjustment and repair centres in areas where hail had damaged numerous cars. Built on this trust, Hagelschaden-Zentrum became a partner to car insurers and now offers a comprehensive repair management service.
Hagelschaden-Zentrum has contributed substantially to the development of a standardized method for assessing and calculating hail damage (HagelExpert). This method is now integrated into the leading industry software package for damage assessment and is used by many car insurers to assess hail damage.
An Australian subsidiary was founded in 2006, a Swiss subsidiary in 2004 and the Hail Damage Center Inc. in the USA was established in 2010. The company now operates in Europe, North America and Australia, is a leading multinational provider of PDR-Services and a partner of major auto insurance companies.
